Breede River Lodge

This popular fishing lodge near Witsand on the banks of the Breede River Estuary. The rooms and main lodge overlook the river mouth and St Sebastian Bay. This bay hosts the largest concentration of Southern Right Whales in the world. The hospitality is warm, informal and relaxed. Delicious meals that include fresh oysters in season and catch of the day, served in the a la carte restaurant or in the friendly pub. Comfortable bedrooms all en suite, with telephone, laundry service, cots and babysitters by arrangement. Children very welcome. The lodge has its own harbour from where guests may launch or moor their own boats.

The river offers the finest light tackle angling and is internationally reknowned for the large cob caught here. The river is navigable for 60 km.
